Renowned silkscreen artist Elton Bennett depicted the working enviroment of the Pacific Northwest. His subjects include fishing trollers, ghostly clamdiggers, tall ships and buoys, logs floating down river and rainforest enclaves.
Bennett was originally from Hoquiam, WA, where he worked in the lumber mills and on the dredge. He was introduced to the silkscreen process at the Museum Art School in Portland, OR. which he attended in the 1950's.
